Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Contingency Plan

The safety and well-being of our clients, colleagues, staff and friends has and continues to be Montachem’s primary concern. During the COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis, all our offices in the USA, Colombia, China and The Netherlands remain fully operational and our teams stand ready to support the needs of our suppliers and customers during these difficult and uncharted times.  To ensure safety first, we continue to follow the updates and protocols suggested by the Centers for Disease Control, local Departments of Public Health, and World Health Organization.

The spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has created significant challenges to international trade. In response to the crisis, Montachem has implemented a number of steps to ensure the safety of our employees, partners and customers, while also remaining committed to ongoing production and shipping schedules.

Business Continuity:

Through these uncertain times, know that you can count on us to provide uninterrupted service and measured guidance. Our systems and technology are designed to seamlessly manage client needs and maintain our production and delivery schedules.  Our commercial team continues to work remotely and our Ft. Lauderdale, Florida headquarters and Bogota, Colombia operations offices have systems in place to handle all documentation, including receipt and distribution of documents by regular mail and courier services.

All our warehouses and shipping lines are fully operational.  In the short term, we do not anticipate business interruptions, unless circumstances change at the direction of official/government mandates.

Our financial institutions are fully operational and international trade has not been compromised. We continue to receive and process trade documents (including L/Cs) and conduct all other banking operations.

Ongoing Efforts:

We are monitoring local, national and international organizations to make adjustments as dictated by the circumstances. In an effort to support each other during this global challenge, we would appreciate your input and comments about developments and/or lessons learned in your countries.
