As in previous years, in February 2022, Montachem, in partnership with the Sogeplast recycling program, donated 200 recycled plastic school desks to Adonai College, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This donation follows on Montachem’s donations in 2019 and 2020 and brings the total number of desks donated to 600. More to come!
The plastic desks are comprised of 100% recycled PE and PP collected from Haiti’s shores and cityscapes and they replace unsafe wooden desks that were no longer suitable for use. It’s a fantastic demonstration of the circular plastics economy.
At Montachem, we’re dedicated to a cleaner, greener planet. By converting plastics waste into durable, much-needed, elementary school desks, Montachem’s efforts help tackle the problems in Haiti, including pollution and limited funds for educational resources.
